My friend once had an opportunity to visit Beijing on a business trip. Since it was his first time to travel to China, he was curious and asked me to suggest a good place to visit during the weekend. I told him to visit only one place without fail, that is the “Great wall”. I was very excited as I told him as if I was visiting.Upon his return, I early went to him and asked “how was it?” and he replied, nothing special Ravi, it was just very old. I was stunned by his reply and didn’t know how to make him realise that the “Old” was its special as it stands as a witness for one of the greatest human triumph, raise and fall of dynasties, vigorous battles fought, life and death of thousands of people, slavery, the architectural excellence etc. Few years later, I visited Angkorwat temples in Cambodia and as usual, prior and post my visit people asked me, is there any else interesting in Cambodia apart from ancient temples? Again, I didn't know how to make them realise that the “ancient” is what we supposed to visit and cherish. To me, all these words old, ancient, history translate into one parameter, that is “Time”, because,

Time creates something
Time destroys something
Time makes something valuable
Time makes something invaluable
Time makes something appear
Time make something disappear
Time cures
Time communicates
Time defines age
Time defines happiness
Time defines Life, and
Time is Life

My objective for this body of work is depict the value of Time, the importance of ancient and how to listen and understand the “Old” while visiting them.
